Leo F. Bick, age 88, a lifetime resident of Barryton, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014 at McLaren Central Hospital in Mt. Pleasant.
He was born on August 3, 1925 to the late John and Mary (Harrison) Bick. Leo graduated from the Barryton Agricultural High School in 1944. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. Leo farmed his whole life on the family farm. He was also employed by Ferris State University as a custodian for 27 years until he retired. Leo enjoyed socializing at the various community restaurants, taking pictures on his daily excursions and attending the Buckley Old Engine Show. He liked to hunt, and was a lifelong member of the Harrison American Legion Post #0404.
Leo is survived by five children, John (Sherry) Bick of Mt. Pleasant, Robert (Shirley) Bick of Mt. Pleasant, Gary Bick of Lake, Barbara (Hal) Kitchen of FL and Thomas Bick of Mecosta; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will take place 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton, with Pastor Gary Bryan officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at 12 Noon at the funeral home.
