Mark Douglas Greening

Mark Douglas Greening, age 42 years of age, of Huntsville, TX, passed away on April 21, 2013.
He was born in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan on August 5, 1970. Mark graduated from Converse Judson High School in San Antonio, Texas in 1991. During high school Mark served as the team manager for the district champion Judson Rockets Basketball Team.
As a young child, Mark participated and won several awards in bowling and wheel chair races in the Special Olympics. Mark was an avid sports fan who regularly followed the Michigan Wolverines, Detroit Tigers, Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Pistons, and Detroit Lions. Mark was a lover of dogs, police TV shows, and TV game shows.
He was survived by his parents, Doug and Sandy (Kemmis) Greening of Huntsville, Texas; his brother Craig (Lindsay) Greening of College Station, Texas; paternal grandmother Donna Greening of Saint Louis, Michigan; maternal grandmother Theresa Olszewski of Ithaca, Michigan; his nephew Christopher Greening of College Station, Texas; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Donald Greening, Colin Kemmis, and Edwin Olszewski.
Visitations were held at the Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas, Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., with a Rosary Service beginning at 7:45 p.m. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Huntsville, Texas.
