Jan. 8, 1969-Sept. 5, 2013
Jody J Bloss, age 44, of Alma, Michigan, formerly of Ithaca, died Thursday, September 5, 2013, as a result of a motorcycle accident.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, Michigan on Monday, September 9, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mary Anne Evans-Justin officiating. Burial will take place at Ithaca Cemetery, Ithaca, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 2 to 8 p.m. with family present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Jody was born in Carson City, Michigan, on January 8, 1969, the son of Alvin J Bloss and Laureen Dawn (Sherman) Bobzien. He graduated from Ithaca High with the class of 1987 and served his country in the US Marine Corps. Jody worked at Bandit Industries in Remus, Michigan. He enjoyed playing poker, riding his motorcycle, cooking over an open wood fire, NASCAR Racing, and bowling. He resided most of his life in the Ithaca area. He just celebrated 12 years of sobriety.
He is survived by his three sons, Justin and Taylor Bloss of Grandville, MI, Jesse Bloss of Laingsburg, MI, Jordan Bloss of Alma, MI; granddaughter, Ruby; father, Alvin and Linda Bloss of Carson City, MI; mother, Laureen and Jeff Bobzien of Baytown, TX; special person in his life, Traci Dancer of Alma; her two sons, Curtis and Jarrett; sister, Erin and Tom Dimas of Medford, NY; two brothers, Joshua and Amber Bloss of Alma, MI and Travis and Jennifer McCracken of Belding, MI. He was predeceased by his grandparents.

I am so very, very sorry to hear about your tragic loss. My heart is broken for you both. I didn't know Jody as an adult, but I can see by the comments that he was kind, fun and well loved. I am praying for comfort and healing you and all his family.

I remember many good nights roller skating with Jody. I will always remember your smile you always had. So very sorry for the loss of Jody. He was a great person! R.I.P. my friend. Until we meet on the other side buddy!
