Charles D. Agle, age 78,
of St. Louis, passed away Friday, November 22, 2013 at his home with his family at his side.
Chuck lived and worked in the St. Louis area his entire life most recently as a driver for Patient Equipment Locker. He entered the Army at the age of 19 and served from 1954 until his honorable discharge in 1957. Chuck retired from the St. Louis Fire Department after 25 years of service. He coached little league and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Chuck married Joyce Ebright on December 6, 1957. He and his wife shared a very close and loving relationship that will last "until the 12th of never", just as they signed all of their cards to each other and is engraved on their headstone. Chuck accepted his Savior later in his adult life and will continue his walk with the Lord.
They have two children, Jody Gilbert of Phoenix, Arizona and Chris (Shari) Agle of Blanchard; also two grandchildren, Jeff (Samantha) Agle and Samantha (Derrick) Davis and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Thelma Agle; brothers, Eugene and Darold (Red) Agle; and sister, Gwen Durham.
The family will celebrate his life at a Memorial Service led by Pastor Steve Wimmer at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the First Church of God in Alma. Visitation will be held one hour before the service. Per Chuck's wishes he has been cremated and interment will take place at a future time.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the First Church of God, 200 W. Superior, Alma, MI 48801 or the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center, 1500 Weiss St., Saginaw, MI 48602.
