Dear Marilyn and Family:
Pastor Adams was a very special person to our family. He married us and dedicated our two children. He also helped and guided us closer to our Lord during his ministry at the St. Louis Church of the Nazarene. Rod's grandfather, L.G. Palmer, was one of the first organizers of the St. Louis Church of the Nazarene. Rod's dad, Ivan Palmer, helped build the new St. Louis Church of the Nazarene. Ivan and Marian Allen were largely responsible for bringing Pastor Adams from Iowa to St. Louis. Heaven has gained a fantastic person, who will be immensely missed on this earth. God bless all the Adams Family and please accept our condolences and prayers during this time.

Marilyn and family: Jim was my sidekick for 9 yrs in ministry together at Midland Community Nazarene. As my Associate Pastor, Marilyn and he were a great encouragement and help for me. Their constant connection and visitation with our congregation was an example of true commitment and calling. His fun loving atttitude always lightened my load. The joy of the Lord was evident in everything he did. May God Himself comfort this wonderful family with that same joy, grace and love Jim lived out for all to see. Thanks be to Jesus for his influence on me. I regret not being able to attend the service due to distance.

Pastor Adams was a great pastor and friend to both my husband Eugene Switzer and myself, June. We remember the night he and Marilyn stopped at our house at 10 pm to sit by the fire and talk. Those were great moments we both shall always remember. We morn the loss of a great friend.
