Lucille Detwiler, 95, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility.
Funeral Services for Lucille will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, May 8, at 2 p.m. with Cheryl Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 7 from 3 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday, May 8 from 1 p.m. until the time of service. The family wishes donations to be made to programs for the Isabella County Medical Care Facility. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Lucille was born on September 7, 1917 in Stanton, MI, the daughter of Ezra and Rhea (Barnes) Case.
She married Garold Detwiler, who preceded her in death.
Lucille worked for the Oak Company for 25 years. She was a former member of the
Women of the Moose
. Lucille enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, needle work, decorating, and playing cards.
Lucille is survived by her children, JoAnn D (Richard D.) Major of Lakewood Ranch, Fl, Lynne (Pat) Judge of Winn, Susan Kay Curtiss of Mount Pleasant, and Randall J. (Connie) Detwiler of Shepherd; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Verlie Codden of Rosebush.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Garold in 2001; son, Jeffery Detwiler in 1977; grandson, John House in 1996; son-in-law, Jack Curtiss in 2009; and four sisters.
