Pamela Marguerite Carberry, age 70, of Carson City passed away Monday, September 30, 2013 at her home. She was born on July 19, 1943 in Bay City, the daughter of Robert and Vivian (Crandall) Wintermute. On June 6, 1964 she married Charles L. "Pooder" Carberry in Bay City.
Pam attended Central Michigan University and earned a Master's Degree in Library Science from the
University of Michigan
. Pam worked as the librarian for the St. Louis Public Library for over 20 years, retiring in 2003. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Carson City and was currently serving on the Carson City Tax Review Board. Pam volunteered for the Carson City Food Pantry.
She enjoyed golfing, raising German Shepherds and reading. Pam also enjoyed collecting teddy bears.
Pam is survived by her sons, Scott of Grand Rapids, Craig (Rhonda) of Williamston; and two granddaughters, Karli and Erika Carberry; also a brother-in-law, Fred (Marie) Carberry of Hendersonville, N.C.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles on May 26, 2013; and a sister-in-law, Martha Caufman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 4, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Carson City. Interment will be in Maryknoll Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home, Carson City with a Rosary and Prayer Service starting at 7:30 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Scholarship Fund or the Carson City Food Pantry.
