Roy Dean Bice, age 66, of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Woodland Hospice House near Mt. Pleasant. Dean was born in Lansing, Michigan on November 5, 1946 the son of LeRoy C. and Florence Irene (Smith) Bice. On June 17, 1971 in St. Johns, Michigan Dean married Carol E. Decker. Carol preceded him in death in 1999.
Dean worked for many years as a car salesman for Kraphol Ford. For 12 years, he owned and operated Bice Hardware and Big Boy Toys. He enjoyed buying and selling cars, boating, vacations and especially his grandchildren. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1966 serving as a paratrooper.
Survivors include his children, Brandy and James Reihl of Rosebush and Brian Douglas Bice of Grand Rapids; three grandchildren, Cole, Clay and Chase Reihl.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; both parents; and a brother, Douglas Wyatt Bice, who was killed in Vietnam.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 6 p.m. from the Rowley Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Friends and family will gather on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions have been suggested to Woodland Hospice. Envelopes area available at the funeral home.
