Anna Angela Hudecz, age 84, of Alma, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Masonic Pathways. She was born July 25, 1928 in Birmingham, Alabama the daughter of Nick and Vincent Mary (Musso) Renda. She married Anthony David Hudecz on May 25, 1953 in Alabama.
Anna's faith was very important to her and she was a devoted member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alma. She served on their Altar Society, helped with funeral dinners, the annual ham dinner and bingo night.
Anna enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and playing games. Her family was always her top priority and she especially loved the time they spent together.
Anna is survived by her children, Rosemary (Greg) Marr of Alma, Teresa (Rick) Holiday of Alma, Sue (Ed) Phelps of Alma, Tony (Maureen) Hudecz of Macomb Twp., Liz (Gary) Miller of Alma, Nick (Toni K.) Hudecz of Gladwin, Tim (Lisa) Hudecz of Alma, Judy (Terry) Arnold of Traverse City and Barb (Jon) Bay of Saline; 23 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; also 4 brothers, Carmelo, Mike, David and Tom Renda; and a sister, Rosemary Gagliano all of Alabama; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Anthony in 1972; a brother, G. Nick Renda; and a sister, Antoinette Renda.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 3, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alma with Fr. Jim Bessert officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Alma. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home with a Prayer Service being held at 7:30 p.m. officiated by Deacon John Cremin. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's School or Masonic Pathways.
