Christopher C. Greening, age 28, of Breckenridge, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 30, 2012 at the Mid-Michigan Medical Center, Alma.
Chris was born August 30, 1984 in Mt. Pleasant to Gary and Janice (Thompson) Greening. He graduated from Breckenridge High School in 2003, excelling in football and basketball. After high school he started working for Davey Tree and later became a foreman for Trees Inc., there he worked with their National Disaster Relief Team. Chris enjoyed fishing, camping, spending time with friends and family, especially his nieces.
He is survived by his parents, Gary and Janice of Breckenridge, sisters, Lindsey Greening of Shelby Township, Katherine Greening of Grand Rapids, Laura (Kelly) Rahme-Greening of Tampa, FL., maternal grandfather Merlyn Thompson and paternal grandmother Emily Greening. Also nieces Shayla, Oliviya and Ava Rahme and Skye Rosas and many aunts and uncles.
Chris was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Lena Thompson and paternal grandfather Luther Greening.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 3, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Lux and Whiting Funeral Home, Breckenridge. Visitation will be held Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
