Donna Gene Loomis, age 73, of Weidman passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at her home with her beloved family at her side. Donna was born on March 19, 1939 to Dean and Nora (Sellers) Ashbaugh.
On April 2, 1955 she married Charles P. Loomis in Remus and they made their home and raised their family in Weidman. Donna enjoyed cooking and canning, crocheting, making crafts with family and friends and spending time with her grandchildren.
Donna is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Charles; 7 children, Lonnie (Kathy) of Kissimmee, Fla., Connie (Dave) Dutcher of Remus, John (Lori) of Mt. Pleasant, Dannie (Cathy), Donnie (Laura), Jennie (Paul) Wernette and Pennie (fiancé Kyle Vogel) all of Weidman; daughter at heart, niece, Sharon Hartig of Charlotte; one brother, Larry Ashbaugh; 40 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, one Uncle Gene Sellers and many nieces, nephews and dear friends who will remember her loving heart.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents Dean Ashbaugh and Nora Wilson; three infant children, Bonnie, Ronnie and Chuckie; two sisters, Delores Brown and Shirley Webb; and one brother Lyle Ashbaugh.
Please join the family for a memorial celebration at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the Weidman Eagles formerly the
Hall (behind the Weidman Fire Barn on Weidman Rd.).
