Ethel M. (Banker) Beltinck Obituary
Beltinck, Ethel M. (Banker) Ethel Beltinck, 96, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility. A Funeral Mass for Ethel will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, February 12, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Loren Kalinowski as celebrant and Deacon Larry Fussman assisting. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery followed by a luncheon at Sacred Heart Parish Hall. The family will receive friends at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. with the Vigil beginning at 6 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Monday one hour prior to Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Academy Foundation, Commission on Aging, or the Medical Care Facility. Envelopes are available at the funeral home or church. Ethel was born December 26, 1921, in Perry, Michigan daughter of the late Edwin and Lottie (Langdon) Banker. She graduated from Carson City High School in 1939 and began working for Carson City Creamery until she married John A. Beltinck on November 7, 1942, at Sacred Heart Church. They moved to Champagne, IL where she worked at Collegiate Cap and Gown while her husband was deployed overseas in WWII. The couple moved to Mt. Pleasant in 1945 and raised 9 children. Ethel is survived by eight children, Julie (Rick) Ulander of Arizona, Richard (Ruth) Beltinck of Mt. Pleasant, Martha (Dan) Clare of Texas, William Beltinck of Mt. Pleasant, Mary (Andrew) Whitlock of Pennsylvania, Teresa (Dirk) Powell of Williamston, Katherine (Doug) Wiora of Mt. Pleasant, and Patricia Beltinck of Mt. Pleasant; 14 grandchildren, Angela Irvin, James Beltinck, Lisa Johnson, Christopher Clare, Michael Beltinck, Scott Clare, Joseph Clare, Aimee Rylko, Monica Warner, John Whitlock, Jessica Shelton, Allison Wilkins, Kevin Clark, and Marie Clark; 13 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Beverly Banker of Lansing and Jean Bieske of Alma; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; daughter, Elizabeth; sister, Doris Welcher; and brother, James Banker.
