Glada Irene Sparks, age 94, of St. Louis, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Schnepp Senior Care Center in St. Louis.
Glada was born on December 8, 1918 in Wheeler Township the daughter of Harry and Ethel Blanch (Hicks) Morrow. After the death of her mother, Glada was adopted in 1924 by her uncle and aunt, Clarence and Mae (Morrow) Muscott of Ithaca. Glada married Glenn Sparks in Ithaca on June 3, 1937.
Glada is survived by 2 daughters, Marilyn (Robert) Young of Arvada, Colorado, Sue Vliet of Bay City; a son, Robert (Karen) Sparks of Alma; 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren.
Glada was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; her parents; 2 sisters; 2 brothers; her adoptive parents; 4 adopted sisters; 2 adopted brothers; 2 sons-in-law; and 1 grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home with Dr. Keith J. Wise of the St. Louis Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
