Jacquelyn "Jackie" Lemoyne Smith, age 71, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at her home after her second courageous battle with cancer with all of her family at her side.
A Memorial Service for Jackie will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Cheryl Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Woodland Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Jackie was born on November 21, 1941 in Edmore, the daughter of Albert and Leona (Antcliff) Ehle. She married Ray Smith on September 27, 1958 in Mt. Pleasant. Jackie worked as a nurses aide at the Mt. Pleasant Regional Center for 12 years. Jackie loved to spend time at her annual trip to the U.P. with her best friends. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, and doing crossword puzzles. She loved watching her great granddaughters and making cupcakes.
Jackie is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ray; children, Steven L. Smith and Michelle "Shelly" (Bill) Quakenbush, both of Mt. Pleasant; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Jayne LoPiccolo of Mt. Pleasant and Thelma (Curt) Dyer of Commanche, OK; 2 brothers, Russ Ehle of Harrison and Craig Ehle of Lewiston, ME; and several nieces and nephews.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents.
