Doerr, Lynette "Lyn" Marie Born Novem­ber 22, 1952 in Mt. Pleas­ant, MI, the daughter of Keith W. and Mary Lou­ise (Pohl) Bowers, passed away on Thursday, Febru­ary 1, 2018. Lyn grew up in Mt. Pleasant and grad­uated from Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart in 1970. Lyn married her "High School Sweetheart" Steve Doerr on December 18, 1970 and they moved to Holt, where they started their family. Lyn worked as secretary/Receptionist for DHS in Big Rapids, Holt Public School Counseling Center, for Dr. J. H. Pudliner and retired as a dental assistant and office manager for Dr. Richard Ludwig after 26 years of service. Lyn was a very well organized person and always looked forward to planning get-togethers with all their "Treasury Group" friends. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, who was loved even more when her grandchildren started to arrive. Lyn enjoyed golfing, being at the beach and will be remembered for being so upbeat, warm, genuinely caring and involved in everyone's life. Lyn was preceded in death by her son Scott on July 17, 2000 and her father Keith. Surviving is her husband Steve, her son Chris (Jennifer), 4 grandchildren: Sylvia, Cabal, Max and Carley, her mother Mary Bowers, 2 siblings: Doug and Patrick Bowers, her mother in law Lois Doerr and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, Feb­ruary 7, 2018 at 11:00AM at the Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Holt-Delhi Chapel, 5035 Holt Rd, Holt with Pastor Everett McCar­ley of Medina Valley United Methodist Church, Castroville, TX officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8PM at the funeral home. Private family interment will be in Maple Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Lansing Rescue Mission in memory of Lyn. Condolences can be made at www.palmerbush.com.
