Marshall Clair Fisher Obituary
July 22, 1944 - April 17, 2013

Marshall Clair Fisher, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at his Elwell, Michigan home. Marshall was born in Carson City, Michigan on July 22, 1944, the son of Clair Eden and Verla Agatha (Hutchinson) Fisher. He was raised in the Elwell area and graduated from Alma High School in 1962.
Marshall served as a Driver Specialist in the U.S. Army from June, 1965 to June 1967, stationed in Korea and Colorado. He furthered his education in the field of Agriculture, and was employed as a farmer. He was also employed with the DHIA (Dairy Herd Improvement Association) as a DHIA Technician for 18 years, retiring in 1998. Marshall was a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA) and the Masonic Lodge. He loved to hunt.
Marshall is survived by three children, Marc Fisher of Elwell, Shannon (Joe) DeVuyst of Riverdale and Jeremy (Miranda Chambless) Fisher of Alma; six grandchildren, Jonathan Fisher, Tyler DeVuyst, Nick DeVuyst, Joe DeVuyst, Trinity Chambless and Declan Fisher; one great-grandson, Tantiun DeVuyst; and a sister, Carol Marie Randall of Vestaburg.
Marshall was preceded in death by his parents, Clair and Verla.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Seville Church of God, 8360 Monroe Road, Elwell at 11 a.m. with Pastor George Showers officiating.
