June 12, 1957 - April 6, 2013

Lt.Col. Rodney L. "Rod" Fausett. age 56, of Lansing, Kansas, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013 from the results of a motorcycle accident.
Funeral Services for Lieutenant Colonel Rodney L. Fausett will be Friday, April 12, 2013 at 11 a.m. from the Victory Christian Center in Mt. Pleasant, MI with Pastor Dar Blanshan officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Berry Funeral Home.
Rod was born June 12, 1957 in Carson City, MI to Russell and Shirley (Morey) Fausett. He graduated from Shepherd High School and Michigan Technical Institute in Houghton, MI where he was a member of The ROTC. Following graduation from Michigan Technical Institute he enlisted in the U.S. Army as a 2nd Lieutenant. He received his masters degree while he was stationed in Florida. Rod retired from the Army after 25 years of service as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2007. After retiring from the military he continued working as a civilian contractor for the military. From 2007 to 2008 he was the Senior Maintenance Branch Manager for Vinnell Aribia and from 2008 to 2011 he was the Operations Military Analysis for L3 MPOI. Currently he was the Operational Contracting Support Analysis for Northrup Grumman Technical Services.
Rob is survived by his three children, Sarah Fausett of Durham, NC, Jenna Fausett of Leavenworth, KS and Matthew Fausett of Lansing, KS; his mother, Shirley Fausett of Remus; two sisters, Beth (John) Watson of Crystal, Barb (Jack) Pittwood of Hemlock; and three brothers, Greg (Brenda) Fausett of Grand Rapids, Brian (Peri) Fausett of Shepher and Tim Fausett of Clarkston.; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to the Intrepid Fallen Hero's Fund. There will be a Memorial Service held at a later date in Leavenworth, KS.
