I have been thinking of Sara so much these past few weeks. I didn't know it was the anniversary of her passing. I hope and pray her family is well, and is comforted by the love and memories of their life with Sara. I am blessed to have known her and worked with her for several years.

I watched her work in the ER, 3rd shift. She never once lost her cool. That made her cool & someone I still admire today. I think of her often, too. She exuded grace & dignity & always treated everyone with respect. She had an instinct for assessing people. She summed me up in one word: stoic. She was the only person that knew me intimately without ever knowing me. Then, she named her daughter DeAnna! Poetic!

She to this day, I think about her often. She loved everyone. Always wanted to make sure others were happy. Although, I only knew her for a short time, she was an extraordinary woman. I will never forget her.

The loss of Sara on this earth is beyond description. She was a wonderful friend during some of the most difficult times of my life. She loved her family so completely and with deepest dedication. She was able to truly engage with another human as few I've known. God gave Sara so many gifts as He does to all of us. Her crowning acheivement was that she maximized those talents through giving to others. She is a shining example of Christian faith in action. Life without her will be difficult but your life with her was a great gift. You will all be in my daily prayers. Much love and deepest sympathy.

I just wanted to let you know how sorry I am to hear of the passing of your sister. It is definately hard to believe as I only have memories of all of you as kids when we were growing up on Vernon Drive, again so sorry to hear.

Sara is an incredibly amazing person, one of the most gifted physicians I've ever known; especially her communication with patients and families. She knew what to say and how to say it. She continues to be an example to emulate. She was, and is, much loved by many, and will be deeply missed by all. A beautiful legacy for her family to cling on to. The daylight seems to be a bit dimmer without her presence in our lives. Prayers and thoughts are with her dear family and close friends.

I had the pleasure of working with Sara when I was an employee of Hackley's E.R. way back in 1980.I believe she was still an Intern or Resident at that time. I could tell back then that she was going to become an incredible physician. After reading all of these entries...she obviously was.

Sara will be greatly missed by many. She taught me so many things as a new hospice nurse. She embraced her patients, their families and co workers with great compassion, every day. She taught me about death and dying and that it can be a wonderful journey. Her journey here on earth may be complete but she will live in our hearts forever.

I'm so filled with sadness at Sara's passing. Years ago when I was a student in the ER I met Sara and worked with her. She was such a warm and gentle spirit...I just loved her. I still have recipes she gave me and will always remember her sweet smile. When we would bump into each other she always asked about my family and we would just pick up where we left off. My prayers will be with her family.

I met Dr. Dora many years ago when I was very young and my baby son was very sick. She put her hand on my shoulder and told me to have faith, he would be ok ....She was personally kind when all she needed to be was 'removed and tell me medical stuff'. She will be missed. My thoughts to her family

Such a tragic loss for all of us but especially for you and your family. Sara was special for what she did but more importantly for how she did it. The ER can be a very impersonal place but Sara treated her patients with compassion, respect and dedication. What made her different was the fact that she treated them all with love. I worked with Sara for many years in the E.R. She was one of the most compassionate, caring, and loving Drs. I have been blessed to work with. Mostly about Sara is her love for her Lord. Even though we're saddened by her loss, we can rejoice that she is home with her Lord and we'll see her again someday. My prayers for comfort and peace for the family.

Never in my life had I met such a gracious, generous woman until I met Sara Dora through her best friend Julie VanderMeulen. She had no reason to trust me, let alone like me or love me, yet she blessed me and my family far beyond expected. A true angel. A true woman of God who loved before she judged and laughed before she cried. I know she is with God and I know God blessed my family to know her. Rest in heavenly peace, Sara. I am so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Dora in the Emergency room at NOCH several years ago. She was so much fun to work with. Very kind and caring. I can remember when you Dr. Dora called the ER one time and asked to talk to Dr. Sara Dora and I kindly told you Sara isn't working today thinking you were asking for a nurse named Sara and you had to call back and ask to talk to Dr. Dora.
