Vivian Viola Strom, age 86, of Riverdale, passed away Friday, September 20, 2013, at the Masonic Pathways in Alma.
Funeral Services for Vivian will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Michael Palmer of the Leaton United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 23, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue the day of the service from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Pathways. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Vivian was born on June 20, 1927, in Riverdale, the daughter of Willard and Viola Jerome. Vivian worked for the Mt. Pleasant Regional Center for over 27 years. She enjoyed taking care of others at the daycare program in Florida and playing bingo, but there is nothing more that Vivian loved than her family.
Vivian is survived by her son, A.H. "Butch" (Cindy Welsh) Strom of Riverdale; grandchildren, Robert Strom and friend, Susan Adams of Sugar Springs, Elizabeth (Robert "Buzz") Tetzlaff of Vestaburg, Katie Strom, and Jon Strom, both of Riverdale; great grandchildren, Mathew, Chris, Shelby, and Lucas Strom; and siblings, William Allen, James Jerome, Louise Marcus, and Alice Marshall.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Alan Strom; parents; brother, George; and sisters, Mary, Ruby, Thelma, and Ellen.
