Patrick D. Grover Obituary
Grover, Patrick D.; age 61; of Shepherd; passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 10, 2014 at his home. Funeral Services for Patrick will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 11 a.m. with Jason Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 14, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue the day of the service from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gratiot Cancer Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel. Patrick was born on June 14, 1952 in Alma, the son of Duane and Leona Maxine (Beugnot) Grover. He married Jeri Watters on July 30, 1977 in Lansing. Patrick was a dedicated and hard-working employee for Great Lakes Petroleum for the last 11 years. Prior to Great Lakes Petroleum, Patrick had worked for Total Petroleum for 23 years and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He also obtained his heating and cooling certificate and was a handyman, loving the opportunity to help. Patrick enjoyed playing golf, and he loved his family, including his miniature pinschers. Patrick is survived by his wife of 36 years, Jeri; children, Anita (Jason) Twiford of Chesapeake, VA, Patti (Will) McKinney of Frankenmuth, Joshua Grover of Farmington, and Brian (Stacy) Grover of Mt. Pleasant; eight grandchildren, Timothy, Brooke, Michael, Emilie, Damion, Devin, Shaelynn, and William, Jr.; brothers, Tom (Millie) Grover of Spencer, IN, Bill (Karen) Grover of Beatty, NV, and Mike (Nancy) Grover of Farwell; sister, Darlene Seath of Ooltewah, TN; and several nieces and nephews. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ted Grover.
