Janet Mae Eisenberger Obituary
EISENBERGER (KNIFFEN-GRACE), JANET MAE; age 77; of Shepherd; passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014 at her home. A Memorial Service for Janet will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Clark Family Funeral Chapel with Cheryl Davis officiating. A luncheon will follow immediately after the service in the Reflection Reception Center. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral chapel. Interment of cremains will take place in Salt River Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodland Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel. Janet was born on January 10, 1937, in Riverdale, the daughter of Kendel and Esther (Grace) Kniffen. She married Ted Eisenberger on December 1, 1956, in Mt. Pleasant. Janet loved to go camping and spend time with her family. Janet is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ted Eisenberger; children, Jake (Brenda) Eisenberger of Shepherd, Jane (Jim) Kanine of Charlevoix, Edward (Suzell) Eisenberger of Escanaba, and Matthew Eisenberger of Shepherd; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, David Kniffen of Georgia, Harland “Butch” (Diane) Grace of Shepherd, and Richard (Mary) Grace of Alma; sisters, Donna Salsbury of Shepherd, Ruth Ann Wrona of Sanford, and Karen Cotter of Blanchard; sister-in-law, Janet Geer of Saline; and many nieces and nephews. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Kendel and Esther Kniffen; adoptive parents, Elton and June Grace; and brothers JV Kniffen and Gary Geer.
