Paul Randall Smith, age 47, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2012, at the Woodland Hospice House near Mt. Pleasant.
Paul was born on September 3, 1964, in Flint, the son of Guy and Barbara Douglas Smith. Paul grew up in Flint and has been a resident of the Mt. Pleasant area for the last 10 years. He worked in construction. He loved fishing, was an avid reader, enjoyed playing cards and hunting with his dad. Paul was a descendant of the Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Nation.
Paul is survived by a son, Jason Saunders of Flint; his mother and step father, Barbara and George Krause of Mt. Pleasant; a brother, Rickey L. Smith of California; a sister, Melanie Ann (Mike) Flolo of California; one niece and three nephews; one great nephew; and several uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Neal Edward Smith; and his grandparents, Lynn & Sarah Douglas.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to Woodland Hospice. Envelopes are available at the Rowley Funeral Home.
