Elizabeth "Peg" Curtiss, age 96, of Shepherd, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Margaret's Meadows.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., from the Berry Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Wonsey officiating. Interment will be in Lincoln Township Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Berry Funeral Home.
Elizabeth was born October 30, 1915 in Shepherd to George and Ida (McDonald) Kyser. She married Floyd Curtiss December 1, 1934 in Mt. Pleasant, he preceded her in death in 1991. She was very active in the Isabella County 4 H program, being one of the first 4 H leaders and was also active in the Isabella County Extension Service. Peg enjoyed gardening, crocheting and sewing as well as fishing, camping and spending time with her family.
She is survived by 3 children; Robert (Virginia) Curtiss of Carrizozo, New Mexico, Janet (Bruce) Morey of Mt. Pleasant, Richard Curtiss of Weidman, 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one sister-in-law; Zenona Kyser of Shepherd.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Dwight and Elden Kyser and 2 sisters; Phyllis Hoffman and Evelyn Getchell.
Memorials may be given to Woodland Hospice or the .
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Berry Funeral Home.
