Sally M. Tripp, age 66, of Shepherd passed away Saturday December 1, 2012, at her home.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday December 4, 2012 at 1 p.m. from Shepherd United Methodist Church with pastor Kathy Kursch officiating. Cremation will take place after services and burial of her ashes will be in Salt River Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday December 3, 2012 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Berry Funeral Home in shepherd.
Sally was born October 18, 1946 in Grand Rapids to James and Pauline (Powell) Starr. She graduated from L. C. Mohr High School in South Haven in 1964, and from Butterworth School of Nursing in 1967. Sally married Ron Tripp January 27, 1968 in South Haven, he preceded her in death on October 18, 2012.
She worked as an RN for the State of Michigan in various capacities and later for the Masonic Pathways in Alma. Sally was a active member of Shepherd United Methodist Church and was also a active volunteer in the community. She loved all outdoor activities and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her two children, Shane (Jeffrey) Muetzel of Midland, Ryan (Lori) Tripp of Grand Rapids; four grandchildren, Jonathan, Jamie, Andy and Evan; three sisters, Susan (Wayne) Mead of Lowell, Janet (David) Bogema of Kalamazoo, Joan (Stephen) Beattie of Normal, IL; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Michigan.
