Richard D. Miller, age 80, of Perrinton, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing.
Richard was born December 31, 1932 at the family farm in Perrinton to Leigh and Mable (Robison) Miller. He graduated from Fulton High School, the class of 1951. Richard married Marilyn McMichael on January 12, 1952 in Angola, IN. He worked many years for Federal Mogul as a press operator, a milk and cattle hauler, ran his own dairy farm and later drove a bus for the Fulton School District, he always kept himself busy. Richard was a life member of the Masonic Lodge in Carson City and a member of the Alma
He is survived by his children, Janice (Ken) Weitzel of Orleans, Judy (Bob) Warden of Ionia, Joel (Lori) Miller of Perrinton, 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Also brother, Don (Bonnie) Miller of Grand Ledge; and sister, Dolly (Howard) Lindsay of Sturgeon Bay, WS.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Jeffrey; and infant brother, Harold Miller.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Martin DePorres Catholic Church in Perrinton with Fr. Mel Fox officiating. Interment will be in Fulton Center Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. at the Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home, Carson City. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ionia County ISD Autism Memorial Fund, 2191 Harwood Rd., Ionia, MI 48846.
