Scott Anthony Koefoed Obituary
Nov. 24, 1955 - July 7, 2013

Scott Anthony Koefoed, 57, of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at McLaren-Central Michigan in Mt. Pleasant. He joined his wife, Sally Jo Booth, who went to be with the Lord on October 15, 2008. Scott was born on November 24, 1955 in Washington, DC the son of George and Marion Awilda (White) Koefoed. On May 14, 1977, Scott married Sally in Bensonville, Illinois.
Scott was a Pastor with Grace Church in Mt. Pleasant for many years, and previously served as a campus minister with Real Life Ministries at Central Michigan University, Illinois State University, and Clemson University. Scott was a devoted husband and father, and spent his life in committed service to Christ and others. The outpouring of love from the many people whose lives he touched is a testament to his enduring legacy. He will be sorely missed, but his memory and example will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his children, Jonathan and Suzanne Koefoed, Daniel and Bethany Koefoed, Rebekah and DJ Lombardo and Joanna Koefoed; two grandchildren, Levi and Gabriel Koefoed; and a sister, Deanna Hanlin.
In addition to his wife, Scott was preceded in death by both of his parents.
Services celebrating the life of Pastor Scott will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2013 from Grace Church at the Ward Theater, 218 S. Main Street at 2 p.m. with Pastor Barry Flanders officiating. Following the Funeral Service, interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery beside his wife, Sally. A viewing will be held with the family on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. also at the Ward Theater and again on Thursday from 1 p.m. to service time.
Contributions in memory of Scott may be directed to Grace Church. Envelopes are available at the church and at Rowley Funeral Home.
