Diane Kay Phillips, age 73, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland.
Funeral Services for Diane will be held at the Immanuel Lutheran Church on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dana Hendershot officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Clark Family Funeral Chapel. Visitation will continue the day of the service from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church or to the
. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel and the church during the service.
Diane was born on September 18, 1940 in Alma, the daughter of Howard and Lila (Pidcock) Presler. She married James Phillips on May 6, 1961 in Austin, TX. Diane enjoyed golfing at her grandson's golf course and with her Tuesday golf friends. The past few years, she had looked forward to spending the winter months next to the beach in Florida or Texas. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Women's Initiative and the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Diane is survived by her husband, James; daughters, Veronica (Randy) Recker of Rosebush and Renee Olson of Alma; grandchildren, Joe (Shannon) Recker, Josh Olson, Lauren (Bob) Welch, and Nicole Olson; 1 great grandchild, Ella Recker and two more on the way; brother, Larry (Helen) Presler of Leander, TX; sisters-in-law, Linda (Rich) Stoudt of St. Johns and Diane Phillips of Alaska; and many nieces and nephews.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, James and Sue Phillips; and brother-in-law, Mike Phillips.
