Nedry, Michael V.; 67; passed away in Flower Mound, Texas on January 6, 2014. Mike was born in Edmore, Michigan to Charles Truman and Clara Marian McCarthy Nedry. He graduated from Blanchard High School in 1964 and attended Central Michigan University until enlisting in the United States Air Force, where he served for four years. During that time, he met and married Jacki Domine of Lakeview, Michigan. They were married for 44 years. Mike began his career in telecommunications with GTE in Edmore. After 30 years, he retired from Verizon in Texas. He loved golfing, traveling, and country music. Mike was an avid fan for anything sports related. His loyalties were split between his Michigan and Texas teams. Mike is survived in death by his wife, Jacki Nedry; and his beloved dog, Chloe; his eldest brother, Nick and wife, Connie of Marquette, MI; his twin brother, Patrick and his wife, Carol of Petersburg, MI; his mother-in-law, Peggy Domine of Lakeview; his sisters-in-law, Cinda Greene of Sacramento, CA, Roxanna Davis of Lakeview, and Rhonda and (Clyde) Clingersmith of Bull Shoals, AR. He is also survived by his Godsons, Bill Meier of Martinez, GA and Domine Greene of Sacramento, CA; and his two beloved exchange students, Manuela Toscano Salvador of Gothenburg, Sweden and Till Drier of Brandenburg Germany. He leaves behind of his favorite aunt, Edith McCarthy Roomsburg of Blanchard; and special friend, Paula Tilmann; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and his “Texas Family” of dear friends. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; and father-in-law, Jack A. Domine. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jacki, which will be forwarded to East Texas Cocker Spaniel Rescue in Sugar Land, Texas. A Memorial for Mike will be held on Friday, May 23, 2014 at the United Church of Christ in Lakeview, Michigan at 12:30 p.m. The luncheon will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
