Albert L. Roethlisberger Obituary
Roethlisberger, Albert L.; age 81; of Shepherd; passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Funeral Services will be Monday May 19, 2014 at 3 p.m. from the Berry Funeral Home in Shepherd with Pastor George Showers officiating. Burial will be in Salt River Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday May 18, 2014 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Berry Funeral Home. Albert was born July 16, 1932, the 2nd of 12 children of Fred and Virgil (Epple) Roethlisberger. He married Marlene Wyeth on July 12, 1954 in Rosebush. Al served in the U.S. Army in Korea and was a member of The Shepherd VFW and the Mt. Pleasant American Legion Post. He received a Purple Heart while serving in Korea. He retired from Lobdale-Emery in 1994 after over 40 years of service. Al enjoyed going to garage sales, hunting, fishing, camping, and going to sporting events his grandchildren where participating in and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Marlene; and four children, Janice Donley of Shepherd, Diane (Bob) Brooks of Blanchard, Lee (Theresa) Roethlisberger of Shepherd, and Allen (Ellie) Roethlisberger of Shepherd; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren; six sisters, Dorothy Steele of Mt. Pleasant, Margaret Grossett of Alma, Carol (Bob) Buchholz of St. Louis, Joan (Don) Curtiss of Middleton, Nancy (John) Griffith of Millington, Barb Peacock of Kalamazoo; five brothers, Leon (Nancy) Roethlisberger of Mt. Pleasant, Charlie (Doris) Roethlisberger of Shepherd, Don (Lodema) Roethlisberger of Shepherd, Dave (Lorraine) Roethlisberger of Shepherd, and Ray (Betty) Roethlisberger of Alma.
