Charles Carlos Dolloff Obituary
DOLLOFF, CHARLES CARLOS; age 89; of Mt. Pleasant; passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014, at Pine River Assisted Living in St. Louis, MI. A Memorial Service for Charles will be held at the East Superior Christian Church, 605 E. Superior St., Alma, MI on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jim Amstutz and Terry Kunst officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in Riverside Cemetery in Alma. Memorial contributions may be made to the East Superior Christian Church. Envelopes will be available at the church. Charles was born on June 8, 1925 in Crystal, MI, the son of Donald and Marguerite (Sampson) Dolloff. He married Anna M. Kunst on May 5, 1979. Charles volunteered for the U.S. Navy during W.W.II and then worked as a self-employed truck driver for 60 years. He was a member of the Weidman Thompson-Blackmer VFW Post 4106 and the East Superior Christian Church in Alma, and enjoyed doing yard work. Charles is survived by his wife, Anna Dolloff of Mt. Pleasant; children, Charles (Roxanne) Hopkins of Cement City, MI, Michael Dolloff of Alma, Susan Carty of Tucson, AZ, Steven Dolloff of Alma, Patricia Ebnit of Riverdale, Terry (Diane) Kunst of Mt. Pleasant, Charles (Jackie) Kunst of Stanton, and Sandra (Tim) Hoffman of Sumner; 17 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Charlie Kunst; brothers, Carl, Leland, and Robert; and sisters, Bonnie and Dorothy.
