THRUSH, RUTH LUCILLE; age 90; of Mt. Pleasant; passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at home. Funeral Services for Ruth will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Rick Lopez officiating. Interment will follow in the Chippewa Township Cemetery. A Luncheon will immediately follow at the Reflections Reception Center. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue the day of the service from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel. Ruth was born on February 14, 1924 in Port Huron, the daughter of Leroy and Florence (Tallman) Fleury. She married Clayton Charles Thrush on December 21, 1942. Ruth worked as a waitress at Falsetta’s Casa Nova for 21 years. She enjoyed sewing and dancing, but most importantly, she loved spending time with her family. Ruth is survived by her children, Mary (Gene) Meyer of Shepherd, Sharon (Dale) Jennings of Mt. Pleasant, Greg (Carol) Thrush of Faribault, MN, Debbie (Randy) Sprague of Mt. Pleasant; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Thrush in 1971; son, Randy Thrush in 2009; grandsons, Shane Sprague and Chad Thrush; great grandchildren, Paige and Mercedes Sprague; great great granddaughter, Ella Marie Hebert; 3 brothers; and 3 sisters.
