Sherrill Perry

1933 - 2016

Perry, Sherrill (Shark) Lynn; age 82; of Remus; passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2016. Services will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Remus with Pastor Jonathan Voss officiating. Visitation will take place Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the church and again on Wed. from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. A luncheon will be served at the church following the service. Burial will take place in the spring at Strong Cemetery. Sherrill was born March 29, 1933, the son of Nile Oren and Beulah Amanda (Young) Perry. He retired from Hitachi after 37 years and enjoyed spending his time outdoors with farming as his hobby. On July 10, 1953, he married Ann (Thren), who preceded him in death in 2008. Left to cherish his memory are one son, David (Susan) Perry; four daughters, Marlene (Steven) Martin, Denise (Kim) Robinson, Alicia (Brian) Eldred and Marcia Sebright; grandchildren, Steven (Katie) Martin, David Martin, Jayson (Amber) Robinson, Stacey (Nick) Warren, Kristyn Robinson, Kyle (Maegan) Eldred, Brett (Angie) Eldred, Erik Eldred, Kurt (Amanda) Helmer, Sam (Gretchen) Helmer, Sarah (Todd) Taylor, Amanda Perry, Alivia Perry; ten great grandchildren; one brother, Larry (Jeanne) Perry and sister-in-law, Donna Thren. Sherrill was preceded in death by his wife, Ann; his parents, and brother, Marvin Perry. In Lieu of flowers, those desiring may direct memorial contributions to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church – Remus or to the Mecosta County Senior Center. Envelopes will be available at church.
