Jacob R. Schoen Jr., age 94 of Covington, LA died on Monday, June 16, 2014, at his residence. Born, Friday, October 17, 1919 in New Orleans, to the late Jacob R. Schoen, Sr. and Mary Schoen. Survived by his Wife of 70 years, Othelia Menard Schoen, Daughter Mary Schoen Townsend (William), Sons "Renny" Jacob Reinnes Schoen III (Jackie), Paul M. Schoen (Darnell), David E. Schoen (Peggy), John H. Schoen (Angie), and Christopher J. Schoen, Sr., Grandchildren Mequel S. Connolly, Elly Schoen, Monica Townsend, Rachel Townsend, Ian Schoen, Matthew Schoen, Jason Miller, John Miller, Josh Miller, Jacob Schoen, Kayla Schoen, Jonae Schoen, Christian Schoen, Trinity Schoen, Christina Marie Schoen, Misty McCarthy, Kristen Moore, Christopher Schoen, Jr., Kevin Schoen, Jonathan Schoen, and Alexandra Schoen and 9 GreatGrandchildren. He was predeceased by his Sister Miriam S. Stokes, and Brother Robert J. Schoen. He was a longtime Lecturer and Eucharistic Minister at St. Peter Catholic Church. He was the recipient of the Order of St. Louis. A Veteran of WWII having served in the Coast Guard for 4 years. He was an Accountant for 50 years for Edgar Murray Supplies Inc. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass at1:00 PM on Friday, June 20, 2014 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 E. 19th Ave. Covington, LA 70433. Visitation, AT THE CHURCH, on Friday from 11:00 AM until service time. Interment in St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery, St. Benedict, LA. In Lieu of flowers donation may be made to either Northlake Crisis Pregnancy Center, 814 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 or St. Vincent DePaul Society at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 E. 19th Ave., Covington, LA 70433. Online condolences may be made to the family at ejfieldingfh.com
