Cannon, Sarah Poag  
Sarah Poag Cannon passed away on Monday, December 8, 2014 in Baton Rouge, LA. She was born on Friday, February 6, 1920 in Mt. Pleasant, TN to Maxie Bishop and Clarence Poag and was a long time resident of Covington, LA before recently moving to Baton Rouge. The beloved wife of the late Michael S. Cannon, she is survived by three sons - Hugh Michael, Bruce Reeves and Scott Poag Cannon; one brother - Joe Poag; eight grandchildren - Stacey, Melissa C., Melissa P., Tyler, Brittany, Sarah, Katie and Kool and six great grandchildren - Andrew, Aaron, Jordan, Sophia, Jase and Sarah. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers - Charles and Dalcomb Poag. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at 11:30 AM on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433. Caples, Tanya  
Tanya Caples "entered into eternal rest" on December 8, 2014 at Metairie Health Care. She was 53 years old. Daughter of Verdie B. Caples and the Late James L. Johnson. Mother of Chad, Joshlyn and Erica Caples. Sister of Sonya Caples and Torr-ee Johnson. Also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Carriere, Ellanora  
Ellanora Carriere of Slidell, La. was born on March 6, 1917 and passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 in Southern California. She was 97 years old. She was the daughter of the late Estela and Louis Navarre, spouse of the late Joseph D. Carriere; and her son, the late Roland Ray. She leaves to cherish her memory, her other children: Huey Ray Sr., Judy McKay (Paul), Joseph G. Carriere, Carolyn Huff (Douglas), Lester Carriere(Linda), Melody Carriere, and Dale Carriere. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 Brother and 3 sisters, and a host of other relatives, special friends and caregivers. Casadaban, Paul Maurice  
Paul Maurice Casadaban, age 83 years, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Loretta DiMiceli Casadaban. Father of Debra Barrouquere (Perry) and Leon Casadaban (Antoinette). Son of the late Leon and Anna Casadaban. Brother of Marcel Casadaban and Andre Casadaban. Grandfather of Reneé Verges, Andreé Bremond (Eric), Paul Casadaban, and Tré Callahan (John). Great grandfather of Michael Verges, Mia Hall, Alex Bremond, and Landon Bremond. Mr. Casadaban was a graduate of Alcee Fortier High School and was a member of the 1948 state champion football team. He attended Southeastern University where he played football as well. He served in the US Army as a French Interpreter in the Korean War. He was a founder and longtime football coach at Lakeshore Playground. His other passions in life were family, hunting and fishing. Casey, Hazel Ann (Lamia)  
Hazel Ann Lamia Casey passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at her residence in Bush, LA at the age of 72. She was born on November 8, 1942 in New Orleans, LA and was preceded in death by her parents, Orenia Bertrand and Anthony "Buddy" Lamia; and her daughter, Michelle Casey. Hazel is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, James Edward Casey, Jr.; her loving children, Wyatt M. Cambre (Liz), Jarret A. Cambre (Amanda), Shane J. Cambre (Stacey), Jamie L. Berg (Steve), Stephanie C. Aloi, James E. Casey, III. (Janet), Allison C. Cooper (Darryl); her adoring grandchildren, Wyatt M. Cambre, Jr., Calie E. Cambre, Jeremiah A. Cambre, Anderson L. Cambre, Camille G. Cambre, Olivia A. Cambre, Claire L. Cambre, Rachel M. Berg, Zachary Berg, Cody Aloi, Casey M. Aloi, Cole E. Casey, Colin J. Casey, Alanna T. Cooper, Bryce E. Cooper, and Brock A. Cooper. Hazel was a member of Collins Blvd. Baptist Church and a former member of Fairhaven Baptist Church. She was retired from the St. Tammany Parish School Board, after 25 years of dedicated service, driving bus 209, and owned and operated J & W Contractors. Castillo, Betty W.  
Betty W. Castillo, who enjoyed the last 5 decades of her long healthy life in New Orleans, LA, before being called to her eternal home by her Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, after a brief illness. Betty, born in 1930, spent her childhood on her family's farm near Highland, Wisconsin. She married once, to Carlos Z. Castillo in 1950 and lived for a few years each in Alaska, Kentucky and Houma, LA, before making her home in New Orleans. Betty was 84 years old. She was a loving mother of 9; Carlos Jr., Rene (deceased, 1997), Marco, Victor (Sharlotte), Lucia C. Speck (Mark Lumetta), Silvia C. Marr (Matthew), Hector (deceased, 1980), Hernan (Yolanda), and Susana C. Watkins. Betty was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Williams of Highland, Wisconsin, adoring sister to her late brother William "Wiggy" Williams (Janice), dear cousin of George Wallenkamp (Vickie), and dear friends with Rita Ann Imhoff (Bob) of Highland, WI and Carol Richgels Freidel of Sun Prairie, WI. Betty was grandmother to Jason, Rachel, Sarah, Alexander, Dominic, Jonathan, Janelle, Nathaniel, Vincent, Claudia, Seth, Rebecca, and Eamon, and great-grandmother to five. Betty, prior to her divorce from Carlos, was the co-owner of Castillo's Mexican Restaurant in the French Quarter through 1975. Thereafter she enjoyed her career as one of the original waitresses for 21 years at Ruth's Chris Steak House, followed by 4 rewarding years as a teaching assistant in the Jefferson Parish school system. Betty had no greater joy than loving her children. A most kind, sweet, and gentle lady, Betty touched everyone with whom she came into contact with. Catoire, Wilfred "Skinny"  
Wilfred "Skinny" Catoire, age 82, was born on December 13, 1931 and passed away peacefully at home on December 12, 2014. He was a native and resident of Reserve, LA. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dolores Schexnayder Catoire; children: Kathy Lonidier (Jeffrey), Mary Beth Catoire, Pam Barker (Patrick), Patty Forsythe (Aaron), and Blaize Catoire (Tina). He is also survived by his grandchildren: Amy Satterlee, John and Jarett Maurin, Megan Stevens, Cody Warner, Ernest and Beth Clement, Christopher and Jennifer Ilski, Karlie Englade, Trey and Ken Catoire, Justin Barker, Chelsea Forsythe, and Jonathan and Benjamin Lonidier and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Gladys Madere Catoire, son Kenny Catoire, brothers L. J., George, and Bruce Catoire and sisters, Priscilla Richard and Diana Trosclair. He was a lifelong member of the VFW Post 159. He loved being with his family, playing golf, deer hunting, fishing, and playing cards at "Daddy's Hideout". He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be on Monday, December 15, 2014 from 8:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church in Reserve, LA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Catubig, Alejandro Laurel  
Alejandro Laurel Catubig entered peacefully into heaven on Saturday, December 13, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife Rosie Ramos Catubig of 49 years. A loving father of Prudencio Salvador Catubig of Galveston, TX, Nina Catubig Nolan (John Stephen Nolan) of Cambridge, MA and Alejandro Louis Catubig, Jr. of New York City, NY. A proud grandfather of Rosie Catubig Nolan, Alex Catubig Nolan and Emily Jane Catubig Nolan. Son of the late Victorina Laurel Catubig and Judge, Prudencio S. Catubig. Brother of Eudocia Catubig, Paciencia Catubig Moreno, and Flotilda Catubig, MD. Preceded in death by his sisters Telma Catubig Pastoral, Flora Catubig, Teresita Catubig and Bona Catubig Meneses. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. As a teenager,"Alex" worked under General Douglas MacArthur as a civilian informant for his underground guerrilla movement during World War II. He graduated from Manuel L. Quezon School of Law with a Bachelor of Laws Degree in Manila, Philippines. He started to work at the Foreign Service of the Philippines under General Carlos P. Romulo, then the Secretary of Foreign Affairs. He retired as a Diplomatic Officer after serving for over 35 years. Upon retirement, he enjoyed attending his Church, St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Harvey, attending the Estelle Senior Center in Marrero, loved to travel, gardening, singing, used to play the violin, piano, reading and spending time with family and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero,LA. Centanni, Samuel Peter  
On December 8, 2014, Almighty God Himself bid His faithful child, Samuel Peter Centanni, 88, to come into His divine presence and behold Him face to face. Beloved son of the late Salvador Centanni and Sarah DeSalvo, and brother of the late Michael Joseph Centanni. He is survived by his dear children, Darlene, Ronald and René Centanni, and his ex-wife, Dolores M. Centanni. He was born in New Orleans and lived in Metairie in St. Edward the Confessor Parish for the last 40 years. He was retired from Crown Buick. He was also an honorably discharged, proud World War II veteran of the United States Navy. He will be greatly missed by all who love him. Milton Joseph Chaison, Sr. entered into eternal rest on December 7, 2014, at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Gloria Faye Poteet Chaison for 68 years. Son of the late Joseph Allen Chaison and Leah Dupuy Chaison. Beloved father of Brenda Chaison Pierce, Myra Chaison Waites, Milton Joseph Chaison Jr., Pam Chaison Cannon, Chad Chaison and the late Troy Q. Chaison. Grandfather of 9; Great Grandfather of 12. Brother of the late Verna Rita Chaison Balu. Mr. Milton served his country in World War II while serving in the United States Navy; he was an employee for Southern Pacific Railroad for 32 years. Milton was born in Algiers, LA, and resided in Terrytown, LA. A visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA, on Saturday, December 13, 2014, from 9AM until 10:30AM.
