La Rocca, Michael Pascal  
Michael Pascal La Rocca passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016 at the age of 92. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Myrtle Dufrene La Rocca; his children: Heidi La Rocca Russell (Martin) of Cypress, TX, Michael Louis La Rocca (Lori) of Metairie, LA and Nancy Trexler of Covington, LA and six grandchildren: Ryan and Joshua Russell, Chase and Lindsey La Rocca and Ryan and Macey Trexler. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Anne Marie La Rocca and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Rosario La Rocca and Josephine Tusa La Rocca of New Orleans, LA; his brother, Anthony J. La Rocca and a grandson, Blake Michael La Rocca. Mr. La Rocca was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and other than his commitment to his family, he considered his greatest accomplishment to have been the Top National Salesman for 25 years while employed with Johns Manville. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA. Labarriere III, Joseph Oliver  
Joseph Oliver Labarriere, III, born July 12, 1956, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at 12:55 a.m. following a short battle with lung cancer. He was a native of New Orleans (Mid City) before moving to Kenner, LA in 1972. Husband of DeAnn Jiles Labarriere of 33 years. Father of Dawn and Brittany Labarriere and Sherry Shields. Son of the late Joseph O. Labarriere, II and Rose V. Frost. Son-in-law of Milton and Elaine Jiles. Brother of William, Ronald, Paul, and Keith Labarriere, Dwayne Sigers and Steve Galland. Brother-in-law of Sheryl, Sheila, Angel and Stephanie Labarriere, Daniel, Dean, David, and Douglas Jiles. Father-in-law of David Bonilla. Grandfather of Antonio and Alex Bonilla and DeShawn Labarriere. Uncle of Natasha Mueller, Bobby Paul Labarriere, Ashley Davis, Amber Fanguy, Alexis Gordon, Adam, Andrew and Emile Labarriere. A host of grandnieces and nephews. A graduate of Warren Easton High School class of 1976. Served in the U.S. Navy. Recently retired Lieutenant of the Port of New Orleans Harbor Police Department after over 34 years of service. Currently employed by the Port of New Orleans. Thelma Pavageau Labat passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the age of 108. Beloved wife of the late Peter Joseph Labat, Sr. Survivors include her daughters, Helen L. (Joseph) Porche', Marion L. (the late Wilfred R. Sr.) Morris; daughter in law, Sonia Estevan (the late Peter, Jr.) and son, Alverez (Diana) Labat, Sr. Also survived by a sister, Noella P. Crawford, 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Labat was preceded in death by her parents, Lovel Joseph and Edna Gostron Pavageau, one grandson and 11 siblings. Lamontriel "Moo" Keyonisha LaCour passed away on August 15, 2016. Beloved daughter of Zymora Kimball and Lamont LaCour, was called home to be with the Lord. Lamontriel was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Carol Ann Burbank, paternal grandparents, Robert and Dorothy LaCour, loving aunt, /Grandmae, Miriam Burbank. "Moo" leaves to cherish precious memories, sisters, Carolnique "Nee", Za'Nyah "Nynu", step-sister, Briyanna and brothers, Ja'Mont "Herk" and Ja'Mon "Dirk". Carl V. LaRosa Sr, age 59, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, from injuries sustained in an auto accident, in New Orleans. He was a native of New Orleans and had resided inSlidell for the past 30 years. He was a member of Carpenters Local Union 1846. He is survived by his son, Carl V. LaRosa Jr, and a daughter, Christine LaRosa Heine (Alfred III); two grandchildren, Hayden and Jocelyn Heine; also his ex wife Therese "Terri" Pinac LaRosa; and siblings, Anthony LaRosa Jr, Joseph LaRosa, and Catherine Hahn. He was preceded in death by his parents Anthony LaRosa Sr. and Lena Tripoli LaRosa. Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016, at 10:00am, at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Slidell. Doris Farley LeBlanc a lifelong resident of New Orleans passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016 at the age of 82. Doris is the daughter of the late Harry Farley Sr. & Celie Margaret Farley; and step-daughter of Charles Schultz Sr., the mother of Donna LeBlanc Henry (Greg); Former spouse of Leon J. LeBlanc Jr., grandmother of Shane Henry (Rebecca) and Blake Henry (Kelli); great-grandmother of Wyatt & Everly Henry; sister of the late Isabelle Doll (late Milton), the late Harry "Whitey" Farley (Dottie); step-sister of the late Charlie Schultz (Shirley), Alvin Schultz (Pam), Ruth Blakeman (late Junior), the late Shirley Domingue (late Clarence). She will also be missed by her numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren (Bobby Medina and Mike Farley) and close friends. The family would also like to thank Gwen Boyes, Liz Grassel & Jay Doucet for the special care given through it all. Leblanc, Nolan Edmond  
Nolan Edmond LeBlanc entered into Eternal Rest with Jesus on August 23, 2016 at the age of 87 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Amelita Bosco LeBlanc and his two daughters, Laurie LeBlanc Nastasi and Angie LeBlanc. He is preceded in death by his son, Nolan LeBlanc Jr., parents, Esther Dufrene LeBlanc and Adam LeBlanc, and brother, Elmore "Red" LeBlanc. Nolan was born in Labadieville, LA and resided in Marrero, LA. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and later retired from the Louisiana Department of Transportation after 30 years of dedicated service. In addition to spending time with his loving family, Nolan enjoyed football, horse racing, gardening, playing guitar, country music and with his keen sense of humor, making people laugh. He touched the lives of so many and will be sadly missed. The family would like to express their gratitude to his VetAttend caregivers, Ruby and Samantha, and also Dr. Craig Ehrensing and all who cared for him during his time of need. LeBon, Marion Schlosser  
On Sunday morning, August 14, 2016 Marion Schlosser LeBon, age 92, quietly passed away in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi, surrounded by her loving family. "Mimi", as she was affectionately called, was born on May 7, 1924 in New Orleans, La. to the late Mary J. Calamari and Anthony J. Schlosser, Sr. She is survived by her siblings, Audrey S. Proctor, Baton Rouge, La., and Anthony J. Schlosser, Jr. A lifelong resident of New Orleans, Mimi graduated from Ursuline Academy and Loyola University. While at Loyola, she met her future husband and love of her life, Doctor Lawrence J. LeBon, Jr. Mimi and Doc were college sweet hearts and while he studied dentistry, Mimi was an English and Journalism major. She had the honor of being the first woman editor of the Loyola Maroon Newspaper and was offered a scholarship to law school after her graduation. Mimi and Doc were married at Holy Name of Jesus Church on May 22, 1944. They shared a wonderful life, full of love and adventures, until Doc's death in 1981. She spent time at her second home in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi, where she was an honorary member of "The Magnolias." With the help of her devoted granddaughter, Ashley Dorsey, Mimi continued to fulfill her wish to live and entertain family and friends in her uptown family home until her death. Marion was a true Renaissance woman, known for her beauty, personality, love of life, keen intelligence, gourmet cooking, and beautiful garden. She loved to entertain, and was already planning her annual Christmas Eve Party where all were welcome. With all these attributes and more, she will be remembered most for her kindness and generosity to all. Mimi is also survived by her loving children: Suzanne L. Dorsey; Lawrence J. LeBon III (Dr. Susan); Doctor Brian G. LeBon (Malia); all of Metairie, La.; and Lisa L. Cowand (Norman) of Bay St. Louis, MS. She was dearly loved by her 14 grandchildren: Ashley LeBon Dorsey; Allyson D. Tuttle (Paul); Michael M. Dorsey, Jr. (Nicole); Lauren E. LeBon PHD, (Nick); Lawrence J. LeBon IV (Kimmie Jo); Katie S. LeBon; Brian G. LeBon Jr. (Emily); Parker D. LeBon (Alison); Conner L. LeBon; Taylor M. LeBon; Norman L. Cowand (Mary); Brian G. Cowand; Lawren L. Cowand (Jonathan); and Tyler M Cowand. Mimi also adored her three great-grandchildren: Nathaniel R. Tuttle, Ian J. Tuttle, and Amelie Grace Cowand. She will be greatly missed by her dear cousin, Francis T. Nelson.
