Dear Finley family, My husband and I were so saddened to hear of Jim's passing. We were next door neighbors in Metairie. We so enjoyed our travels with him. We moved to Houston and continued our friendship. He so loved to fly, once while visiting us he spontaneously decided we needed to fly to Florida for lunch, a trip we will never forget. We eventually lost touch. We always loved our time with him. We are so sorry and sending our prayers.

Very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. We were in the EJ band together for my only year there(1956). Later became friends while he was running C.N.Finley plumbing and I helped maintain the 2-way radios in their fleet of vehicles. We would grab a few moments to discuss old times and deal with current issues.
My sympathy to his family and friends.

Dear Lynne and Family: I was saddened to learn that Jim passed away. I remember him well from high school when we both played in the band, marched in Mardi Gras parades, and participated in jam sessions at Jim's house. I extend to you and your family and friends my deepest sympathy at this difficult time and my hope that you will draw comfort from the memories of the life you shared with him. John S. Batson
