Nanette has a special place in my heart. She was the first person I saw, as I looked through the windshield of our car, which had slammed into the woods after a hit and run driver came very close to killing my husband, me and our dog as we traveled on I-12. Nanette pulled over, called for help, and lent moral and emotional support as we waited for the wrecker to arrive. She helped me get our belongings out of our car, and then she drove me and my dog to her vet, while Steve took my husband to get a rental car. She spent her entire afternoon with us. She could easily have driven on, but she did not. She chose to help us. I do not have words to express the tragedy of her loss. She was an exceptionally kind, caring, loving person. We were only with her for one afternoon, but we feel like we have known her forever. We will never forget her. Our hearts go out to Steve and to her family and friends. She was and remains our angel.

Our deepest sympathy to Nanette's family and friends. Our son was fortunate to have had Nanette as a pre-school teacher years ago, I remember her as a caring and kind person, who loved working with children.
Our heart-felt condolences,

I feel so truly blessed that Nan was a part of my life. I'm a better person for having known her. She was one of the most caring, loving and compassionate people I have ever known. Caring about other people was just a part of who she was. Her smile was so warm and radiant that it instantly lifted your spirits and made you feel better. I know that everyone who knew and loved her is sharing in my grief and my disbelief that such a beautiful soul has been taken from us. Our only consolation is knowing the exquisite joy, peace and happiness she is experiencing in heaven and that as believers in Jesus Christ we will see her again one day. I pray that God will pour down his love and peace on her family and friends. She will be forever missed but never ever forgotten. Deus Providebit.

Nanette, know that you are loved and will be missed. You were such a wonder teacher and advocate for animals. You had a smile that would light up a room. I miss the reactions on your face during conversations in teachers' meetings and chapel. They were priceless. I will always cherish the "Louisiana" plate you made for me as a housewarming gift. What a talented artist! I regret that we never got together when we said we would. A valuable lesson learned, tomorrow is not guaranteed. You are a special angel in Heaven now and I take comfort in knowing that you have all of you precious pets by your side. RIP

RIP Nanette. You will never be forgotten! You were an angel on earth and now you are an angel in heaven. You were always thinking of others. I am posting the very words that you sent to us Chipmunk Sisters! You always knew the right things to say at the right time.
Memories can never be erased from your heart and regardless of how many times you think about them, they never wear out or break. Life is made of millions of moments that we live one at a time and our lives can completely change in just one second. We are never sure when it will be the last time we will see or speak to someone, so always leave loved ones with a kind word. We have all lost someone we love and that is when we realize how precious time is and we would give anything for just one more moment, to hear their voice, one more chance to see them smile or one last hug. Those memories are what we hold on to forever in our hearts, it is the one thing we can take with us anywhere.
