Arthur (Artie) Maxmillion Adolph, Jr., 90, of Metairie, La., passed away on January 29, 2014, due to natural causes. He was born to the late Arthur M. Adolph, Sr. and Gladys Johnston Adolph, October 4, 1923, in New Orleans, La. Artie graduated from Alcee Fortier High School and received a BA in Business from the A.B. Freeman School of Business, Tulane University. He served in the Army during World War II. His career was in Sales with South Central Bell Telephone Co. He is survived by his long-time companion, Vickie Benear. Artie was pre-deceased by his brother, Robert H. Adolph. Other survivors are his sister-in-law, Irene A. Adolph, nephews Robert A. Adolph (Kathy Jackson), Thomas H. Adolph (Margie Adolph), John Rand Adolph (Anne J. Adolph), niece Nancy A. Cordray (Larry), goddaughter Gia A. Sausse (Gene), Sylvie and other loving family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home (5200 Canal Blvd.), 10:00AM - 12:00 Noon, Saturday, Feb. 8th. Service in Parlor at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Artie's favorite thing was going out to eat with friends and family.
