Age 78 and a resident of Ponchatoula since 1966, went to his Heavenly Home at 11:45 a.m. on Friday, November 22, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. Charles was a longtime Truckdriver, and was a successful business owner of Hammond Truckwash C & D Auto. He also loved to work with his hands in construction, gardening, mechanics, restoring boats, tractors and vehicles, as well as teaching his children and grandchildren how to be successful in life. He proudly served his country as a SeaBee in the US Navy and was also in the US Army. Charles was a great man, but an even more loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew him and will be missed dearly. Charles is survived by his wife, Jeanette LeBlanc Pardue; sons, Charles Royce Pardue and wife Drenda, Dale Ray Harper and wife Nessie; daughter, Regina Wadsworth and husband Danny; grandchildren, Brian Dale and Krystal Kay Harper, Grant and Blake Fortney, Evan and Jacob Pardue; great-grandchildren, Elise and Bailey Harper and Aubrey White; as well as his sister, Francis "Louise" Boatner. Preceding Charles in death were his parents, Ira and Frankie Pardue; brother, Jessie "J.W." Wilburn Pardue. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home in Hammond, on Monday, November 25, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. with Bro. Jeff Ellis officiating the services.
