Francis Joseph Kelley, Jr., passed away at his home with his beloved wife and children at his side on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at the age of 91. A WWII Army Veteran who received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Ruth Nieto Kelley; children, Katherine, Michael and wife Marcelle, John and wife Elaine, Matthew and wife Kristi, Caroline and husband Anthony Kain, Jr. and Thomas Kelley. Grandchildren Michael Kelley Jr., Stephen Kelley, Anthony Kain III and Austin Kain. Francis was preceded in death by his parents Anna May Abadie Kelley and Francis J. Kelley, his brother J. Donald Kelley also survived by nieces and nephews. Francis a native of New Orleans and a resident of Metairie, graduated from Jesuit High School and received a Master's Degree in Engineering from LSU. He was Vice President of Cary B. Gamble & Assoc. and employed for over 40 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Mass. Visitation will be at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St., New Orleans on Saturday, May 17, 2014 beginning at 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon. Mass will be in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed online at www.schoencanalstreet.com.
