Idonia "DONIE" Irma Gwathney transitioned from her labor to reward on Saturday September 28, 2013 she was 77.She was preceded in death by her loving parents George and Eliza Simms, devoted husband Curtis O. Gwathney, brothers; Melvin, Franklin, Roland, Eddie, Raymond and Malcolm Simms, and sisters; Lorraine and Viola Simms. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved children Edwin Simms, Gary Colar, and step-daughter Clasrissa Gwathney, brother; Irvin Simms, sisters; Shelia Sertino and Jocelyn Payne, 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. The pastor, officers, and members of First Free Mission B.C., St. Paul B.C., and all neighboring churches, also; Correct Care Solutions, and VFW Ladies Auxiliary #2403 are invited to attend the Home Going Celebration at First Free Mission Baptist Church. 426 Lamarque St. New Orleans, LA 70114 on Saturday October 5, 2013.
