John "J.T." Klump Jr. passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday October 3, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Beloved companion of Rosia Toussaint. Loving father of Karla Klump-Carter, Anna Marie Paulette, Ervin and Curtis Mikell. Devoted grandfather of Durrel Dabney, Tatyana Hayes, Natalie Carter, Mark Carter Jr., Rachel Carter, Jade Brown, Diamond Webb, Ashley Jackson and Tasha Sewell. Brother of Paul and C.J. Klump and the late Karen Smith. Son of the late Lukenia Difulco-Smith and John Klump. Dearest friend of Cal Liggett, Les Banano, Frankie Capers and Damien Bell. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. J.T. was a United States Army Vietnam War Veteran, a retired Meat Cutter, former Boxing Match Maker in the state of Louisiana and will always be loved and remembered by all who knew him. Aged 58 years, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a resident of Laplace, Louisiana for over 20 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel 4747 Veterans Blvd. Metairie, Louisiana on Monday October 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private. Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until time of services. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association 400 Poydras St. New Orleans, Louisiana 70130.
