Jules Allen Dubus, Jr., 77, passed away at home on Friday April 18th 2014 at 10: A.M. Beloved son of the late Aimee Roubion Dubus and Jules Allen Dubus, Sr., brother of Mrs. Samuel Stewart Farnet (Aimee) , Mrs. Elisabeth Dubus Bagur, and Mrs. James Walter Mason, II (Linda Everitt). In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Mrs., Thomas Ewell Rue (Simone Seghers), his brother Richard Michael Dubus, Sr. and Mrs. Frank Joseph Hazard (Diane). He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Allen attended Loyola University School of Music, Tulane University and the University of Heidelberg. While at Heidelberg, he played the organ for a special Mass celebrated by Cardinal Spellman. In addition to giving music lessons in the City, Allen taught at Mater Delarosa and Holy Rosary schools. He was the organist at Mater Delarosa for many years and played the organ for the congregations at St. John the Baptist, St. Henry's, Temple Sinai, and the First Unitarian Church. During the height of the Cold War, he served his Country in the U.S. Army Special Intelligence Forces in Germany. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial service at 11:00 A.M. following visitation beginning at 9:30 A.M. on Wednesday April 23 at the Greenwood Funeral Home located at 5200 Canal Boulevard.
