Norman Leon Bell, Sr. a lifelong resident of New Orleans died on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Touro Infirmary. Norman was 66 years old, he graduated from Walter L. Cohen High School, and he was a United States Army Veteran, employed by the U.S. Postal Service and the Avondale Ship yard. Norman was a lifetime member of Pleasant Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the direction of the late Reverend George W. McWaters. Survivors include his two children; son, Norman L. Bell, Jr. & daughter, Leslie Michelle Bell, one Grandson; Talen Cyril Bell, sisters; Norma A. Bell (Twin) (Atlanta, GA) & Cheri Lynn Bell, brother; Randy T. Bell, sister-in-law; Joycelyn Bell, former husband of Eunice Simpson Bell, cousins; Connie, Deidra & Mervin Louis, nieces; Kiajuanna Bell (Atlanta, GA) and a host of other nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 1:00pm at Majestic Mortuary 1833 Oretha C. Haley Blvd. Visitation will begin at 12:00noon. Burial will be private.
