Robert L. Drew passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, June 27, 2014 surrounded by family. He was 82. Born in Duffy, Mississippi, he was a resident New Orleans, Metairie and his last years in Covington, Louisiana. Beloved by his wife of 61 years, Frances Tucker Drew, son Robert L. Drew, daughters Donna F. Southern, Patricia K. Warner and Kristen N. Lind. Also survived by his brother Jim Drew, sisters Katherine Stroup and Sharon Hedgepeth, 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Robert was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of Tulane University, where he received a Masters Degree in Architecture. Robert was an architect at Curtis and Davis Architects for much of his career. His many projects included The Royal Sonesta Hotel, The Royal Orleans Hotel, The F. Edward Hebert Hospital and The Louisiana Superdome.
