Victor (Vic) J. D'Arcangelo passed away on December 1, 2013 at the age of 94 at Emeritus Assisted Living in Kenner, Louisiana. He was born on November 24, 1919 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Santo D'Arcangelo and Annie Bevinetto. Vic served in the army as a PFC during World War II in the 29th Division, 116 Regiment, Company G. He landed at Omaha Beach 6 days after D-day. After the war, he worked for the New Orleans City Engineers, Department of Streets and Maintenance. He also worked part-time for the Local #39 Stagehand Union for 40 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Santo and Annie D'Arcangelo and his four older brothers, Joseph, Philip, Bernard (Benny) and Salvador, his brother-in-law, Manuel A. Sirgo, Jr. and his dear friend Augustine Calcagno. He is survived by his sister Mary Ann Sirgo and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 12:00 Noon.
