Cherrile P. "Barry" Barrios, Sr. entered peacefully into heaven on Monday, January 6, 2014, surrounded by his most loved ones on earth at the age of 72. A lifelong resident of the Westbank. Barry retired from the Jefferson Parish Water Department with 23 years of service. He was a natural southern Louisiana man with the love of cooking his Cajun dishes and traveling the back roads of south Louisiana. He had many great passions of working in his yard, classic cars and dancing. He is survived by his always dedicated loving wife of 43 years, Margaret Rivet Barrios. Loving father of Troy Barrios and daughter-in-law Gidget Picard Barrios. A proud grandfather of Amber Herpin, Brittany Picard and his great grandson, Chase Champagne. Son of the late Camille Barrios, Jr. and Cecile Loup Barrios and son-in-law of the late Libby Rivet and Marie Truxillo Rivet. "Barry" had five sisters and one bother. A private service was held on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum. Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
