Darline Finn Planchet passed away on Thursday December 26, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. Beloved wife of Paul N. Planchet Jr. for the past 57 years of Sacred Marriage. Loving mother of Linda Planchet Maher (and husband, Raymond), Michael A. Planchet (and wife, Jaci), Stephen J. Planchet (and wife, Jean), Daniel G. Planchet and David A. Planchet (and wife, Amy). Devoted grandmother of Julie, Jan, Derek, Zachary, Nicole, Amanda, Madeleine and Emma and the late Matthew. Sister of Lloyd G. Finn. Daughter of the late, Alice Rose Finn and James J. Finn. Also survived by other relatives and many friends. Mrs. Planchet was a graduate of St. Mary's Dominican High School, a member of the Golden Age Club, the Peoples Program, the Literary Society of Driftwood, a Parishioner of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church and will always be loved and remembered by all who knew her. The family would like to express a special "Thank You" to the nurses and staff of Hospice Associate for the love and care that they provided. Aged 78 years, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a resident of Kenner, Louisiana for the past 30 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel 4747 Veterans Blvd. Metairie, Louisiana on Monday December 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of services. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the 2605 River Rd. New Orleans, Louisiana 70121.
