David Lyle Amedee, 55 years of age, a loving husband, brother, friend, master contractor and businessman passed away on Monday, May 19, 2014, at East Jefferson Hospital. A Homegoing Celebration commemorating his life will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at The Upperroom Bible Church, 8600 Lake Forest Blvd., New Orleans, LA, with Pastor Herbert H. Rowe, officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment in St. Louis Cemetery No. 3. He leaves to cherish his many precious memories, his wife, Annette LeDuff Amedee; four siblings, Donald (Lorraine), Stephen (Tanya), Glenn and Val Ann Amedee; sisters and brothers-in-law, Andrew (Denice) LeDuff, Sandy (Jayce) Poree, Hillery LeDuff and Patrice (Malcolm) Summers; beloved godchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, pastors, officers and members of The Upperroom Bible Church, clients of The Wisdom Reception Center, former co-workers of The Marriot Hotel, local construction businesses, and fellow construction associates are all invited to attend. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Tobias and Leverna Gilyot Amedee and one brother, Clarence Tobias Amedee III. Arrangements by Heritage Funeral Directors, (504) 944-5500.
