Joyce Doyle Ramos passed away at her home on November 17, 2017 at the age of 86. She was an amazing mother, a loving wife, the best MawMaw and more recently, a great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ricardo Carlos Ramos (husband); her sons, Ricky Ramos and John Robert Ramos; her grandson, John William Ramos; her daughter-in- law, Terri Ann Schaefer Ramos and Gerard Ramos' fiancée, Pamela Lassalle. She is survived by her son, Gerard Ramos; four grandchildren: Ricky Ramos (Kelly), Gerard Ramos, Jr., (Corina) Jeff Ramos and Patrick Ramos (Sara) and three amazing great-grandchildren: Lilliah Grace Ramos, Arvo William Ramos and Asher Michael Ramos. After working for Father Peter Rogers, she went to work at Our Lady of Gaudalupe and the International Shrine of Saint Jude assisting Father Tony Rigolii. After 46 years, Joyce touched so many people in the community and will be deeply missed. To her many friends - especially Dori, Janet and Ruth - you truly are wonderful and Joyce loved you so very much. Friends and family are invited to visit with the family on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon followed by a Funeral Mass at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans. Deepest sympathy to the family. Joyce was a lovely person and a good neighbor. I am sorry I was unable to attend her funeral but I am recovering from a hospital stay myself.
